MANLY 2

A narrow block and a sloping site made this space architecturally designed by Watershed Architects a considered challenge. The welcome suburban tree lined view was a wonderful surprise and taken advantage of with the living, kitchen, study and bedrooms all being on the top level this home.

The decorating elements for this home had to layer the intent of calm, breezy casual family living for this young family of 4. This space had a very local and hand made element to its feeling with spotted gum timbers and porters paint tones.

At AKD we layered with visual texture of rugs and cool calm palettes of blues and neutral fabrics to bring a sense of casual sophistication to the home.

Large comfy yet tailored sofas sit welcomingly in the family living room and retreat areas set a perfect place for yoga, reading and kicking back with a book.

Perhaps the highlight is the Master bedroom that evokes a sense of hotel like luxury.
