Nestled in the heart of Sydney is this iconic heritage Queen Ann home, set amongst parkland this grand old lady needed a facelift with colour, structure, interior design and overall flow.
With the guiding hand of MCK architects and the build team Sydney Beach Homes, this family home quickly became a marriage of old and new. Heritage listed staircase with custom made 4.2meter chandeliers and new beginnings of concrete flooring meeting the original timber flooring throughout.
The brief was to inject colour, texture in the finishes and a plush liveable interior for a young family. Celebrating the clients’ art collection was paramount and is referenced in the colour palette of the fabrics, rugs and walls.
Lighting set the tone and helped bring the older spaces into a more modern flavour and blurring the lines between old and new.
This home's proportions were outstanding and embellished with the furniture selections. Now it’s an entertaining paradise!
